He was born on April 27, 1943 in Oneida, KY to John and America Marcum King.

He was owner and operator of King`s Wholesale Bait in Liberty, IN. He had lived most of his life in the Union County area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting (especially bird dog hunting) and restoring old cars. He loved taking trips and dearly loved going to Florida. He attended many Blue Grass festivals and loved listening to Blue Grass music. He married the former Catherine Miller on November 10, 1962 in Connersville, IN.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Friends may visit at the Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, IN on Sunday October 5, 2003 from 3 until 7 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
