This first group of pictures was taken in January of 1999, shortly after a pretty serious ice storm. The broken down trees and the tangled brush that you see in the pictures are, to a large extent, a result of that ice storm. The most obvious of the downed trees are the two that you see lying across the creek/falls just before the water tumbles over the falls. In the pictures taken on May 24, 2008, you can see that the two trees that were lying across the top of the falls have pretty much rotted away. In one of the pictures you can still see part of one of the fallen trees but from most angles you no longer see them from below the falls. The pictures taken on May 28, 2011 were taken during a very brief visit to the falls.
