HICKS, SOPHIA LEE KING — Rice Pike, Union, KY. Sunrise January 28, 1923, Sunset February 1, 2004. Daughter of Ben and Maggie King, of Clay County, KY. Widow of Earl Hicks. Preceded in death by: son, Jimmie Hicks, five sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by: her family, daughters, Phyllis Cuzick of Union, KY, Vada Haley of Knoxville; son, Kenneth Hicks of Sparta, KY; and daughter, Glenda Fugate of Erlanger, KY. She also leaves a brother; Ellis King of Cincinnati, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. in Highland West 9913 Sherrill Lane. A memorial service is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Mauldin Baptist Church in Tyner, KY.
